Coloring chocolates

Are you looking to give colors to chocolate?

Here's the method of making the colorful chocolates.

Colored Chocolate Hearts

Coloring of chocolates is mostly done with white chocolates. There are two types of edible colors which are used in chocolate making. They are:
  1. Oil Based (Recommended)
  2. Powder Based
We cannot use water based edible colors since water and oil do not mix up and chocolate is a fat containing food in form of cocoa butter or vegetable fat hence we use the above two type of food colors.

Oil Based Coloring

This is the best coloring which can be used as it is easily soluble in chocolate. we can add one teaspoon(15 grams) in 100 grams of white chocolate depending upon which color you choose.
stir the melted chocolate well and its color will be changed.

Trick - Take two tsp(30 grams) of the color in a small bowl, using the brush sprinkle the color in chocolate moulds and then pour chocolate over it just like i have shared in other post ..you can either use flavor or plain chocolates.
Result - When demoulding the chocolate there would be color on the it with splash design.

Powder Based Coloring

This is also one of the coloring agent, however it can be only mixed with chocolates as it requires a medium to dissolve. So if you want to get your white chocolate into different colors such as red, blue, green, e.t.c. then you may go ahead with this.

My recommendation for best results - Oil Based Colors
